All of our baristas have been trained up by our lovely roastery – Union Hand Roasted Coffee – and we use those skills to serve expertly brewed espresso based coffees of all descriptions. We’re also cracking out hand stretched pizzas using our 24 hour dough lovingly made on site. And to accompany those bad boys, we have our carefully curated drinks menu, featuring beautifully crafted cocktails, made using fresh ingredients for our syrups, juices and mixers. To top it off, we have wines from Vino Vero, and beers from Crate brewery in east London, and more local to home, beers from our friends at the Leigh on Sea Brewery. So whether you're stopping by for a morning flat white, a laid-back lunch, or an evening drink, our menu has something that will hit the spot.
Allergens. Dishes may contain allergens. We can not guarantee our foods are allergen-free. Each menu item is flagged (V) Vegetarian, (VG) Vegan, (GF) Gluten-free as per ingredients listed. We do not have anything that has nuts as an ingredient, however, our products are made in kitchens where nuts are handled. If you have any questions, please ask our team.
So is The Hatch a pizzeria now?
Nope! We're better than that.
Not a bar, not a pizzeria, not a pub – but more than a coffee shop, that's for sure. It's the perfect fit for so many occasions – super chilled, super friendly, super social. It's cozy in the winter and like being on holiday in your own town in the summer. Come down, grab a table, get a drink, maybe get a pizza in to share with your crew. Hang a bit more, chat a bit more, maybe get another pizza to share. More drinks, more laughs – it's a vibe.
There's no right way to order, just get a bit of what you fancy, when you fancy it. Just drinks? Cool. Just a bite – also cool. We can be everything you need. Unless you're after more of a michelin star experience – you might have to look elsewhere for that.
